West African Journal of Medicine JUNE 2021 Newsletter

From The Desk of The Editor-in-Chief

JUNE 2021 NEWSLETTER

Dear Colleagues,

It is a pleasure to present the Journal newsletter for June 2021. I would like to appreciate the authors, reviewers and the two Colleges for their continued support in making the West African Journal of Medicine (WAJM) outstanding.

WAJM VOLUME 38, NUMBER 5, May 2021

The printed copies of the May edition are available at the West African Journal of Medicine (WAJM) office at 6, Taylor Drive, Edmund Crescent, Medical Compound, Yaba, Lagos State. Corresponding authors have been sent their complimentary copies by courier service. Authors and those interested in copies of this edition can request at the journal office or send an email to wajmeditorinchief@gmail.com.

ADVERT

Advertise your brand, products and events (conferences, exhibitions and workshops) in our esteemed journal and reach out to healthcare professionals and institutions worldwide. For advert placement, kindly contact the Editor-in-Chief for details (email: wajmeditorinchief@gmail.com).

WEBSITE

The journal website has been upgraded to make access to manuscript submission, review and publication seamless. Detailed information and instructions will be made available soon. The journal can, however, still be accessed through the following media:

Facebook (https://www.faceboo.com/wajmedic)

Twitter (https://www.twitter.com/wajmedic)

The Blog (https://wajmeditor.blogspot.com)

UPDATES

• The full text of the manuscripts would soon be made available online to interested researchers at a fee.

• The journal is expanding to accommodate current issues, clinical perspectives, conference and workshop reports, patient vignettes, medical and health news and short communications in various fields of medicine and surgery. We would like to encourage authors to send in articles in these categories.

• We also like to invite scholars to contribute to a CME column, which would make the journal more functional to our junior colleagues globally.

• We welcome suggestions and ideas, as well, on how to improve the quality and outcome of our journal.

• We would like to apologize to authors for the delay in the publication process. This is largely due to the peer reviewer process. We will continue to strive to overcome this challenge subsequently.

WAJM VOLUME  38, NUMBER  6, JUNE, 2021

Listed below are the articles for the June 2021 Journal edition. The free abstract-text content of this edition can be accessed on PubMed Central, EMBASE, Excerpta Medica, and African Index Medicus, amongst others.
