From The Desk of The Editor-in-Chief

JANUARY 2024

Dear Colleague,

I am delighted to present the January maiden edition of the Journal for 2024. I extend my sincere appreciation to the authors, reviewers, proofreaders, the two colleges (West African College of Physicians and West African College of Surgeons), and our dedicated staff for their unwavering support, contributing significantly to the journal's ongoing progress, especially in this difficult and challenging time in our nation and globally.

This edition is regrettably delayed due to unforeseen challenges, socio-economic challenges, and the impact of the economy on the production and publishing processes.

As we roll out the editions for this year, our teams are fully engaged and committed to growth and consistent production throughout the year. We are making aggressive moves to further raise the bar of the quality, impact, and reputation of the journal. We remain committed to enhancing the journal's relevance and significance within the global medical community.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we strive to make valuable contributions to the field.
