Dear Colleague,

I am delighted to present the February 2024 edition of the Journal. I extend my sincere appreciation to the authors, reviewers, proofreaders, the two colleges (West African College of Physicians and West African College of Surgeons), and our dedicated staff for their unwavering support and contribution to the journal.

We have been experiencing delays in our publication schedule due to various factors including unforeseen socio-economic challenges, which have impacted our production and publishing processes. Rest assured, we're actively working to return to our normal schedule of timely publication

Our teams are fully engaged and committed to the growth and consistent production throughout the year. We are making aggressive moves to further raise the bar of the quality, impact, and reputation of the journal. We remain committed to enhancing the journal's relevance and significance within the global medical community.

This edition is currently at the collation stage of the printing process and will soon be available at the West African Journal of Medicine (WAJM) office, located at 6 Taylor Drive, Edmund Crescent, Medical Compound, Yaba, Lagos State. However, the e-copy has been sent to the corresponding authors.

Kindly be informed that from January 2024, manuscripts accepted for publication will be rescheduled for the subsequent edition if publication fees are not settled within the designated payment period.
