Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to present May 2024 edition of the Journal. I sincerely appreciate the authors, reviewers, proofreaders, the two colleges (West African College of Physicians and West African College of Surgeons), and our dedicated staff for their unwavering support and contribution to the journal.

We have been experiencing delays in our publication schedule due to various factors including unforeseen socio-economic challenges, which have impacted our production and publishing processes. Rest assured, we're actively working to return to our normal schedule of timely publication.

Our teams are fully engaged and committed to growth and consistent production throughout the year. We are making aggressive moves to further raise the bar of the quality, impact, and reputation of the journal. We remain committed to enhancing the journal's relevance and significance within the global medical community.
