Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to present the Journal newsletter for May 2023. I would like to appreciate the authors, reviewers, and the two colleges (West African College of Physicians and West African College of Surgeons) for their continuous support.

For a few months now we have commenced Open access. Open access is a great way to increase visibility and access to your published articles. It allows readers to access your work and is beneficial for readers, especially in the West African Sub-region and globally. You can access and download articles from the journal website.

PROCESSING AND PUBLICATION FEES

The Journal has reviewed its processing and the publication charges in line with the current exchange rate approved by the college and this is applicable to the journal. From January 1st 2023, all transactions will be based on the new exchange rate of N750 to $1.00. Payments should be made preferably in USD in line with the college requirements. However, if there is difficulty in transacting in USD, the equivalent could be paid in naira to the designated account.

Publication Fee: $150.00 - Naira Equivalent is #112,500.00
